William (Bill) Russell Gannon, 92 of Ashland died Sunday October

16, 2016 at Arbors at Stow Nursing Home.  He was born March 27,

1924 in Ashland Co. the son of Russell and Mary Knaub Gannon.

He was a graduate of Hayesville High School and a U.S. Army veteran

of World War II serving in the 786th Armored Division.  Bill owned Wm.

Gannon Excavating for 40 years and was a member of the Hayesville

United Methodist Church.

He is survived by two sons, Richard Gannon of Jeromesville and David

(Debra) Gannon of Hayesville, and two granddaughters, Camie Ables

and Lindsey Gannon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jayne Gannon on

December 14, 1999 and a grandson Billy Gannon.

There will be no services.  Burial will be at a later date in Vermillion Cemetery.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
