Virgil Moss Phillips, 87 of Ashland died Friday May 29, 2015 at Good Shepherd Nursing

Home.  He was born April 17, 1928 in Wriston, West Virginia the son of Luther Abb and Lula

Darlington Phillips.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.  He worked for the

Ashland City Water Department and loved to hunt Ginseng.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Copley Phillips, three daughters, Bobbi (Keith)

Echelberger of Ashland, Patricia (Dennis) Simpson of West Salem, and Rose (Dean) Lease of

Ashland, two sons, Owen Phillips of Ashland and Frank (Kathy) Phillips of Ashland, 8

grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 4 brothers.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday June 2, 2015 at Trinity Cemetery with Layton

Broome officiating.  There will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland Salvation Army.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
