Vincent Michael Novak, 86 of Shreve passed away Saturday August 8, 2026. He was born August 30,

1939 in Midland, PA the son of James Michael and Elizabeth Fridrick Novak.

He graduated from Midland High School in 1957 and worked on the railroad for 54 years, starting with

Penn Central and ending with CSX in Willard, OH. Vincent sold sports goods on the side and was an

avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved to play pool and was an exercise nut.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Lisabeth Miller Novak to whom he was married January 26, 1978, a

daughter, Kimbery (Tony) Craft of Placerville, CA, a son, Vincent Randall (Norminda) Novak of Waco,

TX, 3 grandchildren, Rex Allaman, James Novak and Jennifer (James) Bartee, three step-daughters,

Deborah (Bob) Allenbaugh, Robin (Jason) Hawks and Jennifer (Rick) Scott, 7 step-grandchildren,

Mallory, Elizabeth, Logan, Jacob, Jadyne, Cole and Corena, 8 great-grandchildren, Makz, Montana,

Madax, Amala, Malasyia, River, Weston, Houston, Cheyann and Dakota, a nephew, Jeff Caprio and

close friends, Mark Potts, Norman Reed and Jay Barber and his neighbors, Jim and Sherry Hofacre,

Jim and Pam Burge, Kristen Snyder and Lisa Colvin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law, Tony Craft, 2 sisters and a brother-in-law.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday August 22, 2026 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with

Pastor Layton Broome officiating. Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery at Hayesville.

Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
