Obituary

Ted Slarb, 61, died early Easter morning, April 1,2018 at home.

He was born in Ashland on June 22,1956 to Henry (Hank) and Doris Slarb. He was a graduate

of Ashland High School, class of 1974. He married Cindy Smith on July 13,1985, and they built

their dream home together outside of Jeromesville.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran

Church in Jeromesville. Ted loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He

was an excellent husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy (Smith); his daughters Danielle (Charles) Phillips, and Kristin

Slarb; and his grandchildren Brayden, Alex, and Maria. He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley

(Larry) Camp of Ashland, and Kathy (Larry) Madeker of Mansfield. He had a close relationship

with his brother-in-law's family: Doug and Sue Smith of Jeromesville, and their daughters, Lisa

(Todd) Jackson, Amy (Nathan) Atterholt, and Megan (Josh) Hottel. Ted was very close with

Nathan, as they shared many similar interests, especially the outdoors. He was preceeded in death

by his parents, his brother Terry Slarb, and his in-laws, Royce (Doc) and Shirley Smith.

A memorial service will be held April 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeromesville,

followed by a reception in lieu of calling hours. Memorial contributions can be made in Ted's honor

to Trinity Lutheran in Jeromesville or ODNR
