Steven Brian Plice, 39 of Hayesville died Wednesday March 7,

2018.  He was born October 17, 1978 in Ashland the son of

Steven Plice and Julie Griffith Plice.  He was a sergeant for

the Ashland County Sheriffs Office for 16 years and was a

member of the Calvary Baptist Church.  Steve was a 1997

graduate of Loudonville High School.  He enjoyed competing

in the Ashland Co. Fair Demolition Derby, watching his kids play sports and coaching the local youth.

He is survived by his wife, Lynette Field Plice, to whom he was married September 23, 2000, a

daughter, Jerrika Plice, a son, Jase Plice, his mother, Julie (Ken) Longnecker of Perrysville, his father,

Steven Plice of Ashland, three sisters, Jessica (Eric) Walton of Perrysville, Kory (Brad) Baugh of

Tremont, and Krista Bowen of Lodi, his paternal grandmother, Doris Plice of Ashland, his maternal

grandmother, Esther (Jerry) Schaefer and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Plice, his maternal grandfather, Walter

Griffith, and his uncle Gary Biddinger.

Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday March 13, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland with Pastor

Josh Cehulik officiating.

Friends may call Monday March 12, 2018 from 5-9 pm at Calvary Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with his children's educational fund.
