Obituary

Stanley L. Fox, age 87, of Galena Ohio went to be with his Lord

and Savior on September 2nd, 2012. He was resting comfortable

on the couch waiting for dinner.  Stan was a delightful and caring

man.   He had a wry sense of humor and was easy to talk to. He

asked little of others but gave much. He had a deep sense of the Lord's presence and

was sought for his Godly wisdom.  He was actively caring for his wife and children up

to the day that he died.  He will be remembered lovingly by his wife Janet King Fox to

whom he was married June16, 1956; children Philip (Cheri) Fox of Ada, Michigan,

Steven (Debbie) Fox of Wooster, Ohio; Beth (John) Foss of Marion, Indiana, and

grandchildren, Seth (Mandy) Foss, Autumn Fox, Joshua (Sarah) Foss, Daniel Fox,

Bethany Fox, Jonathan Fox, Alyssa Foss, Nina Fox, Jennifer Fox, Christopher Foss,

Benjamin Fox and Samantha Fox.

He followed his brother Joseph W. Fox and sister, Elizabeth (Sam) Justice to Heaven.

Stan was born June 24th 1925 the son of Fred and Emma Fox.  He was a graduate of

Ashland High School, Ashland College and Bowling Green State University He was a

World War ll veteran. He was a teacher, principal and Local Superintendent of the

Berlin Local Schools in Erie County.  He then worked for 26 years for the Ohio

Department of Education as a Supervisor and Assistant Director of Elementary and

Secondary  Education Concurrently he served as the State Director for the North

Central Association of College and Schools.

A resident of Galena, OH for 38 years, Mr. Fox served on the village council and

planning and zoning committee.

As a member and elder of the Grace Brethren Church of Columbus Ohio, Mr. Fox

considered the opportunities to join with his wife Janet in serving the Lord in the

ministries of the church his highest and most valued privilege.

Viewings will be held from 4:30 to 7:00pm on Sunday September 9th and 10:00 to

11:00 am on September 10th at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville, OH .

The service will follow at 11am.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Grace Brethren World Missions or

Salvation Army.
