Stanley D. Argabrite, 84 of Wooster went home to be with the Lord, Friday, September 20, 2024. He was born in Caledonia, Ohio on May 23, 1940, to the late Rex V. and Cora L. (Bailey) Argabrite.
Stan was a 1958 graduate of Wooster High School, where he participated in football, wrestling, and track, earning nine letters. On November 5, 1980, he married Elaine (Bucher) Rogers.
Stan worked for Diebold Inc., for 24 years, until the Wooster plant closed in 1985 and at Custom Hoist Inc., for 22 years, retiring in 2007. Stan was Past Master of Ebenezer Lodge #33 F. & A.M., past High Priest of Wooster Chapter, Royal Arch Masons, Past Illustrious Master of Wooster Council #13, Past Commander of Wooster Commandery #48, member of Shreve Chapter #496 OES, and 32 Mason, Scottish Rite Valley of Canton. He received the Knight York Cross of Honour on November 4, 1989.
Stan was a very loving, outgoing person with a big heart. He was a passionate football fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, and local high school teams. Stan loved his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and spending time at all the family events.
Stan is survived by his three children, Stan (Christy) Argabrite of Wooster, Shannon Argabrite of Strasburg, and Shawn (Lisa) Argabrite of Dalton.
Grandchildren, Shane (Cheyenne), Argabrite, Liana (Nate) Robinson. Adam McClintock, and Erin McClintock, Danny (Jessy) Argabrite, Jamie (Jerry) White, Katelyn (Andy) Johnson, Kari (Robert) Smith, Kourtney (Chris) Seese, Adrian (Amy) Leidigh, and Andrew (Brooke) Leidigh
Great grandchildren, Everett Argabrite, Ryder and Reece Robinson, Braxton and Austin McClintock, Heaven, Hallie and Trevor Argabrite, Rylee White, Eva Yoder, Renley and Paisley Johnson, Savannah and Harper Seese, Brant and Madison Leidigh, Gavin and Derek Wuthrich, Rhea Wuthrich and Taylor Leidigh.
Good friends, Ken, Char and Buddy Hasinski, Connie and Dale Butler, Ray Bowman, Greg Roberts, and Tom Long.
In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine (Bucher) Argabrite, six brothers and one sister, and stepdaughter, Mary Ann Leidigh.
Services will be 1:00 PM Friday September 27, 2024 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Pastor Randy Moomaw officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery.
A masonic service will take place at 12:45 PM before the service on Friday.
Friends may call from 11-1 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
