Ryan Gabriel Amend, age 30, resident of Mansfield, passed

away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 6, 2013. He was

born on June 8, 1982 in Ashland, Ohio. He was a

resident of Mansfield for the past eleven years. He was a 2001

graduate of Hillsdale High School and the Ashland County

West Holmes Career Center where he studied

graphic arts. He attended the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He enjoyed sightseeing nature, watching comedic films, playing video games with his

nephew, and was a car enthusiast. He loved to laugh and was described as having

an "infectious smile". He is survived by his father, Robert G. Amend of Ashland; his

mother, Carol Snyder of Mansfield; four sisters, Sonya White (Dan) of Crestline;

Sharlene Amend of Mansfield; Serena Schuck (David) of Jeromesville; and Stephanie

Amend of Brooklyn, NY; his maternal grandmother, Loraine Snyder of Orrville, a

nephew, Hunter Schuck; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may call at the Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville, Ohio on Saturday,

January 12, 2013 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, followed at 2:30 by the memorial service,

with Kenneth Kubasek of the Mansfield South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses

officiating.

Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
