Ruth E. Hootman Shank, 82 of Ashland died Thursday October 6, 2011

at The Good Shepherd.  She was born December 5, 1928 in Ashland the

daughter of Willard E. and Myrtle Corbett Hootman.  She was a homemaker

and attended Lakefork United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Michael Shank of Ashland, two sisters, Freida

S. Zonker of Ashland and Virginia Milligan of Perrysville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Shank in 1970,

four brothers, Ed, Floyd, Clare and Gerald Hootman, and a sister,

Evelyn Leybold.

Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday October 11, 2011 at Fickes Funeral

Home in Jeromesville with Pastor William Schaeffer officiating.  Burial will

be in Jeromesville Cemetery.  Friends may call Monday October 10, 2011

from 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
