Russell Eugene Berry, 87 of Hayesville, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the

Good Shepherd in Ashland. He was born February 3, 1935 in Richland County, the son

of H. Fred and N. Irene Snavely Berry. He was a 1953 graduate of Lucas High School,

served in the Air National Guard for 33 years, and worked for Home Hardware for 13

years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra McFarlin Berry, whom he married on April 4,

1959, a daughter, Cathy Berry of Ottawa, a son, Chris (Denise) Berry of Westfield Center,

a grandson, Dennis (Lauryn) Berry, granddaughters, Elizabeth and Madalyn Berry, and a

great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Berry. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters

Dorothy Metcalf and Margie Berry, and brothers Robert, Donald, and Paul Berry.

The service is at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Hayesville United Methodist

Church with Andrew Foster officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery in Hayesville where the Ashland Honor Guard will

conduct military rites.
