Rosemary was the Valedictorian of the Class of 1945 at Savannah High School. Rosemary attended Ashland College and taught elementary school in Ashland before raising her family.

Also surviving is Cynthia Hess of North Canton. Rosemary's greatest legacy is her investment in the lives of her 13 grandchildren, their spouses, and her 12 great-grandchildren.
Several beloved relatives in the extended Emmons family and extended Hess family, as well as many lifelong friends, neighbors, and loving church members also survive.
In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her brother, James W. Emmons, and her daughter-in-law, Dr. Katherine A. Hess.
