Roger E. Fair, 76 of Ashland died Friday February 24, 2012

at Kingston of Ashland.  He was born April 5, 1935 in Wayne Co.

the son of Vernon and Beulah Ickes Fair.  He was a Magna Cum Laude

graduate of Kent State University and received his Masters from

Bowling Green State University.

Roger started his teaching career at Montpelier Local Schools

and later became Principal at; North Central Local in Pioneer,

West Unity Local, Galion City Schools and Willard City Schools.

He finished his education career as a Superintendent of Ottawa

County Schools.

He was a member of Hayesville United Methodist Church

and was a Cleveland Sports Enthusiast.  Roger believed

in serving others and took great pride in his 3 grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Koenig Fair, to whom he

was married December 18, 1955, two daughters, Deborah

Fair of Huron and Janice (Darrell) Ray of Perrysburg, a son,

Gregory (Bobbi Jo) Fair of Carrollton, 3 granddaughters,

Taylor Fair, Alissa Ray and Emma Ray, a brother, Hubert

Fair of Wooster and a sister, Mildred Fisher of Loudonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son,

and a sister, Opal Fair.

Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday February 28, 2012 at

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Pastor Wendy

Guion officiating. Burial will be in Reedsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
