Robert E. Sheriff, 90 of rural Hayesville died Wednesday April 18,

2018 at his residence. He was born February 6, 1928 in Ashland

County the son of John and Eva Groff Sheriff. He was a 1946

graduate of Hayesville High School and was a carpenter. He also

worked at Mansfield Tire for 35 years and worked for Vermillion

Township. Robert was a member of the family of God.


He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Stumbaugh, four children, Robin (Pat) Wilt of Ashland, John

Sheriff of Hayesville, Steve Sheriff of Ashland, and Mike (Jane) Sheriff of Shelby, three step-children,

Rusty Moherman, Dusty (Angela) Moherman and Kelly (Bobby) Patterson all of Ashland, 12

grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren, 8 great great

grandchildren, and a brother-in-law, Daryl (Lou Ann Rayl) Stumbaugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Esther Anderson, 2 brothers, Mervin and Gail Sheriff

and a step-grandson, Hunter Moherman.

Services will be 2:00 PM Monday April 23, 2018 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Pastor

Pat Eulett officiating. Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery.

Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
