Obituary

Robert James Seaman went to be with his Lord September 21. He was born October 6, 1929 to Coyt C.

Seaman and Alberta Farnum Seaman who predeceased him as did his wife Carolyn Parker Seaman and

his brother Donald Seaman. Surviving Pastor Bob are his brother Richard Seaman and his children:

Dale Seaman of Porterville, California; Janice Berbin of Papua New Guinea; Steven Seaman of

Perrysville, Ohio; Gary Seaman of Fort Myers, Florida; and Jeanne Vincent of Cincinnati, Ohio, 14

grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Bob was a graduate of Bob Jones University and also earned a Master's degree and Doctor of

Ministries degree from Bob Jones University. He started Campton Heights Baptist Church in Fortuna,

California.

He also pastored Twin Falls Baptist Church in Twin Falls, Idaho, and Maranatha Baptist Church in

Hayesville, Ohio. He started Christian schools in Redding, California, and Twin Falls, Idaho. Pastor

Seaman had a special love for young people and trained and took youth choirs on tours on the West

Coast to teach them to serve the Lord. Many people came to know the Lord under Pastor Bob's

ministries and a number, including all his children, served in fulltime Christian service. Bob was a

loving, giving husband and father who took time for his family. He loved sports, woodworking, and

carpentry, building two church buildings and a home. Pastor Bob was a hard worker who loved people

and loved to laugh. Most importantly, in the midst of severe dementia he could still testify that he knew

Jesus Christ loved him and had died to save him from his sins. He had the assurance that when he died

he would go to heaven because of Christ's all-sufficient work. His family rests in the assurance that

Dad is well and rejoicing in Christ's presence now. Visitation with the family will be at Loudonville
