Robert Smith Eagle, 94 of Ashland died Tuesday October 18, 2011
at Hospice House in Ashland. He was born January 1, 1917 in Ashland Co.
the son of Floyd and Esta Smith Eagle. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps.
veteran of World War II and a laborer for Ashland Vault. Robert
was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church and Harry Higgins
American Legion Post 88.
He is survived by 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Jean Boreman of Ashland,
Barb and Bob McCrea of Ashland, and Patty and Darrell Smith of
Acworth, GA, a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sally Eagle of
Adario, 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren,
and two sisters, Esther Lifer of Ashland, and Mary Johnson of Medina.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Lifer Eagle on September 12,
2003, 2 grandchildren, Erin Smith and Albert McCrea, two sisters,
Ruth Boreman and Ruby Kuntz, 4 brothers, Royd, Milo, Floyd and Clyde Eagle and a
son-in-law, Scott Boreman.
Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday October 22, 2011 at Peace Lutheran
Church with Pastor Philip Kunder officiating. Burial will be in
Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call Friday October 21, 2011 from 7-9pm
at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville or one hour prior to the service
Saturday at the church.
