Robert (Bob) S. Fisher, 87 of Polk passed away

Wednesday January 22, 2014 at Good Shepherd

Nursing Home.  He was born January 2, 1927

in Ashland Co. the son of Floyd and Grace Vance

Fisher.  He was a 1944 graduate of Ashland High

School and a World War II Navy veteran, who was stationed in China.

Bob was employed by Hootman and Sons Construction, Beachler Farms,

Noba Inc., part owner of Polk Hardware and most recently was owner/operator

of Fisher Water Services.  He also was a school bus driver for Mapleton Schools

and was a Jackson Twp. Trustee.  Bob was a member of the Polk Loins Club, and

Polk Church of Christ where he was Sunday School Superintendent and Elder.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was married February 28, 1948 to his beloved wife of 65 years, Betty Smith

Fisher, who survives.  Additional survivors include two daughters, Barbara Fisher

of Polk, and Bobbi (Bob) Weaver of Ashland, a son, Dean (Joanne) Fisher of

California, 6 grandchildren, Mandi (Tim) Meyhoefer, Andrea (Justin) Dew, David

(Sandy) Weaver, Rob Fisher, Jimmy Weaver and Deana Fisher, 2 great-grandchildren,

Parker and Logan Meyhoefer, and a great-grandson that will arrive in February, and

two sisters, Louise (Harold) Crone of Columbus and Lucille Harding of Ashland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Janet Fisher and a brother-in-law,

O.B. Harding.

Private family services will be Saturday January 25, 2014 at Fickes Funeral Home

in Jeromesville with Pastor Ed Graves officiating.  Burial will be in Polk Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday January 24, 2014 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
