Richard Stull passed away at home on Monday October 26th. This loss will be deep and felt by
everyone who knew him. Dick was a force and memorable guy. Known far and wide for many different
things, including but not limited to; his barber shop, fair board, sports, real estate, horse shows, coon
hunting, the list goes on and on. He himself was inducted into the Ashland County Sports Hall of Fame
for his talents in athletics. Dick's efforts and hard work would start traditions and shape a community.
Dick always had his hand in something, but some would live on like Woosterfest, Wooster Home and
Garden Show, local softball all-star tournaments and scholarship, and running entertainment for the fair
board to bring Wayne County some of the top entertainers ever. Most would know him for his iconic
Stull's Hair Clinic, established in 1960. Walking into the old railroad depot, you get to feel a part of
Dick—a collage of memories, history, community, and traditions. Dick was one of the few—genuine,
good, hardworking, straightforward, and so generous. He truly found joy in helping others. He was a
champion for all close to him and always bragged on everyone who came into the shop, making
everyone feel important and welcomed. He was a no-fuss, straight shooter until it came to his family
and then you got to see a softer side of him. His love for his girls and grandchildren was immense.
Family always came first. He was a tireless advocate for Lyme disease awareness when his daughter,
granddaughter and great granddaughter all contacted Lyme Disease. He went all in when it came to his
family. His heart was big. Dick even collected honorary family members because he treated all who
were close to him as such, family. Dick always said he was never going to retire and he got his wish
cutting hair up until Friday. Dick will be missed and this loss will be felt deeply by all that got to cross
paths with the great Dick Stull.
He is preceded in death by parents Harold and Edna and brother Tom.
He is survived by a sister Ilene Cutlip, daughters Crystal and Robin, grand daughter, great grand
daughters and great great grandson.
Graveside Services will be held at Reedsburg Cemetery at 1pm on Saturday October 31, 2026.
