Richard "Dick" L. Roberts, 65 of Ashland passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014

at home. He was born on July 21, 1948 to Roger M. and Mildred (nee Gardner) Roberts

who preceded him in death in 2004 and 2007, respectively.  Dick was a lifelong

resident of Ashland and a 1966 graduate of Ashland High School.  He graduated from

Ashland College in 1970 and served in the United States Air Force from 1970-1974.

He had been a faithful and dedicated employee of Irwin's Office Supplies for the past

24 years.

Dick was a lifelong member of Rowsburg Lutheran Church having served as a Sunday

School teacher, worship leader, member of Church Council and church

secretary/treasurer.  He was treasurer of the Rowsburg Cemetery Association and

volunteered at Samaritan Hospital and the County Line Produce Auction.

Dick didn't know a stranger and was a caring friend to many.  He is survived by

several cousins and dear friends, Samuel and Rachel Shetler and Greg and Paige

Squires.

Graveside memorial services will be 1:00 AM Sunday March 2, 2014 at Rowsburg

Cemetery, with Pastor Jerry Rhea officiating.  A Celebration of Life potluck dinner

will be scheduled at a later date.

There will be no calling hours.
