Richard Leroy Flickinger, 78 of Wooster died Monday January 13, 2014

at his residence.  He was born January 16, 1935 in Wayne Co. the son of

Leroy and Elsie Brookover Flickinger.  He was a dairy farmer for 50 years

and attended the Wooster Church of the Nazarene.  Richard was a U.S. Army

veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and Past Commander of Jerome Post #749

American Legion.

He is survived by a son, Orrie (Jackie) Flickinger of Wooster, 2 grandchildren,

two brothers, Robert (Linda) Flickinger and Thomas Flickinger all of Wooster,

a sister, Charlene Gessling of Dalton, a brother-in-law, Herb Klever of

North Lawrence and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joan Klever Flickinger

on January 1, 2003, a son, Richie Flickinger in 1976, a brother, John

Flickinger and a sister, Helen Mullen.

Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday January 18, 2014 at Fickes Funeral

Home in Jeromesville with Gary Spencer officiating.  Burial will

be in Blachleyville Cemetery where the Ashland Veterans Honor

Guard will perform military rites.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the

funeral home.
