Peggy Ann Taylor, 83, of Ashland, passed away on Friday May 4,
2018 at her residence. She was born August 21, 1934 in
Urichsville, the daughter of Paul E. and Mildred Lee Cox. She
married Norman Floyd Taylor on September 7, 1952, with
whom she raised three sons before beginning a long career as
secretary at Plymouth Elementary School in Ashtabula.
Peggy was a gentle and loving person who treasured family and
children above all else. She shared a lifetime love of music with
her husband, Norman, having first met him during their high school band years.
She followed closely, and was always extremely proud of, the accomplishments of her three sons and
grandchildren,musical and otherwise.
She is survived by her sons, Norman (Georgianna) Taylor of Port LaBelle, FL, Steven (Gail) Taylor
of Perrysville and Gregory (Christine) Taylor of Boca Raton, FL, 7 grandchildren, Brian Taylor of New
York City, Jennifer Theis of Massillon, Jeremy Taylor of Wooster, Kevin Taylor of Englewood, Chelsie
Thompson of Mansfield, Lindsey Eitnear of Perrysburg and Alex Taylor of Ottawa Lake, MI, in
addition to 5 great grandchildren, Allison and Katelyn Theis, Nolan and Riley Taylor and Eden Eitnear.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman F. Taylor, to whom she was married
for 59 years, in 2012 and a brother, Richard Cox.
Private family services will be 2:00 Friday May 11, 2018 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with
Pastor Wendi Guion officiating. Burial will be Saturday May 12, 2018 at Perry Twp. Cemetery in
Perry, OH.
There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggestions that memorial donations in Peggy's name may be made to
Renaissance Performing Arts 138 Park Ave. West Mansfield, OH 44902 or Brethren Care Bradford
House 2000 Center Street Ashland, OH 44805.
Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
