Norman Lee Newcomer, 85 of Ashland died Wednesday April 12, 2017 at Kingston of Ashland. He

was born September 1, 1931 in Ashland the son of Jesse S. and Carrie B. Smith Newcomer. Norm

was a 1949 graduate of Ashland High School. He worked at Mansfield Tire as a foreman and

Hydromatic Pump as a maintenance man.

He is survived by three daughters, Karin (Craig) Banghart, Lori (Raymond) Janevicius and Debra

(Richard) Weaver, his grandchildren, Seth Banghart, Andrew Banghart, Adam Banghart, Michelle

Janevicius, Marshall Janevicius, Buddy Weaver, Mike Weaver, Melinda Turk and Miranda Rhodes,

great grandchildren, Kyle Turk, Morgan Turk, Joshua, Peyton and Ollivander Banghart, his step-

children, Terri (Janet) Hefferman-Wood, Tisha (Todd) Smith and Todd Wood, and step

grandchildren, Sarah Bookman, Jed (Paula) Bookman, Jessica Wood, Andrea Wood, Sophia

Wood and Khristofer Wood, two step-great grandchildren, Laurel and Graham Bookman, two

brothers, Stanley Newcomer of Florida and Richard Newcomer of Mansfield and a sister, Fran

Harned of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife, Donna Stoudenheimer Newcomer in 1990,

to whom he was married in 1951, and his 2nd wife, Loretta Kay Wood Newcomer in 2015, to

whom he was married in 199 four brothers, Everett, Russell, Harold and Robert Newcomer, and

two sisters, Marjorie Gorman and Marilyn Newcomer.

Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday April 15, 2017 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with

Pastor Barry Whitt officiating. Burial will be in Lakefork Cemetery. Friends may call from 11-1 pm

Saturday before the service at the funeral home.
