Normalea Steigerwalt, 80 of Ashland died Monday June 18, 2012 at

her residence.  She was born October 3, 1931 in Ashland the

daughter of James and Kathryn Hart Barber.  She was a homemaker

and member of the Ashland First Christian Church.  Normalea had been

a Cub Scout Den Mother for several years.

She is survived by her husband, Karl Steigerwalt to whom she was

married October 19, 1952, three daughters, Alice (Jack) Baker of

Ashland, Ann (Keith) Kanzig of Ashland, and Nancy Steigerwalt

of Perrysville, a son, Lee (Cathy) Steigerwalt of Jeromesville,

15 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren,

and a brother, James (Bev) Barber of Bucyrus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two grandsons,

Eric Steigerwalt and Christopher Stuart.

Services will be 11:00 AM Friday June 22, 2012 at Ashland First

Christian Church with Pastor John O'Hare officiating.  Burial will be in

Ashland Co. Memorial Park.  Friends may call Thursday June 21, 2012

from 6-8 pm at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.
