Nancy Ruth Helbert, 68, passed away  Sunday,August 23,

2015 at Ohio Health MedCentral in Mansfield . She was

born December 1, 1946 in Ashland, Ohio to Roger and

Winnie (Tanton) Helbert.

Nancy grew up in Hayesville before moving to

Mt. Pleasant,Texas. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High

School in 1965.


After graduation, she worked as a nursing assistant for many years.

She was a resident of the Martin House in Ashland.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a son,

Greg Bryan of Jeromesville; a brother, Mike Helbert, of Mt. Pleasant,

Texas and her former spouse, Glenn Bryan, of Jeromesville.

Nancy is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Pat

Tyner of Ashland, OH and a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and

Aimee Bryan of San Antonio,Texas. She is also survived by 9

grandchildren; Nick, Brad and Jacob Tyner, all of Ashland;

Melanie (John) Hancock, Emily, Micah, Savanah, Noah and

Chloe Bryan , and 2 great-grandchildren; Lydia and William

Hancock, all of San Antonio.  She is also survived by her longtime

companion and special friend, Gerald Strait of Ashland.

A memorial will be held at a later date. Burial will be at the

Hayesville-Vermillion Cemetery in Hayesville. Family asks in

lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to MedCentral

Hospice or Hospice of North Central Ohio.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville is in charge of arrangements.
