Melvin Roosevelt Grindstaff, 81 of Wooster died

Thursday February 1, 2018 at his residence.  He

was born November 3, 1936 in Robbinsville, NC

the son of John P. and Icie Rich Grindstaff.  He

was a farmer and an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Domer Grindstaff to whom he was married March 25, 1961, a

daughter, Teresa Grindstaff of Wooster, three sons, David Grindstaff, John Grindstaff and Charles

Grindstaff all of Wooster, 2 grandchildren, three brothers, Claude Grindstaff of Wooster, Richard

Grindstaff of Robbinsville, NC and Marvin Grindstaff of Robbinsville and  sister, Violet Messner of

Robbinsville, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Grindstaff.

He will be laid to rest at the Grindstaff Family Cemetery in Robbinsville, North Carolina.

There will be no services locally.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
