Mary Ewing Austin, 92 of Funk died Tuesday January 22, 2013

at Westview Manor in Wooster.  She was born October 9, 1920

in Holmes Co. the daughter of Thomas and Virgie Wachtel

Ewing.  She was a member of Ripley Christian Church and

she worked the first automatic brush machine at the Wooster Brush,

where she retired in 1985.  Mary lived in Funk for over 63 years and hosted

Gram's Crafts at the Funk Country Mall from 1988-1995.

She is survived by a son, Kay (Phyllis) Austin of Wooster,

a daughter, Jane (Dick) Bone of Ashland, 2 grandchildren,

Mary Jo (George) Starr of Wooster and Mike (Sheila) Austin

of Jeromesville, 4 great grandchildren, Aubrey (Frank) Moro

of Florida, Ian Starr and his friend Jacki Miller of Florida, and Morgan

and Tyler Austin of Jeromesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gail

Austin and a sister, Mae Kauffman.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday January 26, 2013 at Fickes

Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Pastor Layton Broome

officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at

the funeral home.
