Mark Wayne Showalter Sr., 57 of Jeromesville died Thursday

March 15, 2012.  He was born April 17, 1954 in Elyria the

son of Kenneth E. and Clara Denny Showalter.  He was

operator of Automatic Welding for 25 years.  Mark

was a member of the Jeromesville American Legion

Post 749, a member of the SAL and was a

Jeromesville Youth League supporter.  Mark enjoyed Nascar,

tigers, sailing and sharing milkshakes with his grandson, Paris.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Tobias Showalter to

whom he was married December 9, 1971, two daughters,

Michelle Showalter of Chicago and Rebecca Showalter

of Mansfield, a son Mark Showalter Jr. of Jeromesville,

a grandson, Paris Showalter, two sisters, Janis Showalter

and Shirley Bowles both of Ashland, a sister-law, Mary (Doug)

Simpson, a brother-in-law, Clyde (Sue) Tobias, four nieces,

Kym and Krysta Bowles, Angela Elliot and Tiffany Smith,

and a nephew, Nathan Bowles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his mother-in-law,

Helen Tobias.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with

arrangements.
