Marjorie Wavelet Smith, 91 of Jeromesville died Thursday January 28, 2016 at Lutheran
Village in Ashland. She was born December 3, 1924 in Ashland Co. the daughter of
Howard and Martha Ludwick Keets. She was a farmer and member of the Jeromesville
Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a primary Sunday School teacher and served on
numerous committees for many years.
Marjorie was a former member of the Farm Bureau Women, the former Perry Township
homemakers and the Mohican Teepee Tenders Homemakers. She enjoyed reading, sewing
and doing crafts.
She is survived by two daughters, Jane (Bruce) Burrey of Colorado, and Nancy Smith of
New Rochelle, N.Y., a son, James Smith of Jeromesville, 1 grandson, 1 granddaughter,
2 great grandsons, 1 great granddaughter, 2 step great grandsons and 1 step great
granddaughter, a brother, Richard (Sue) Keets of Ashland, a sister, Linda (Bill) Raudebaugh
of Jeromesville, and a sister-in-law, Ruth Keets of Ashland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, T.W. Smith, a grandson, Joshua
Smith, a sister, Louise Donelson and a brother, Bill Keets.
Services will be 10:30 AM Monday February 1, 2016 at Jeromesville Trinity Lutheran Church
with Pastor Jerry Rhea officiating. Burial will be in Dickey Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 6:00-7:30 at Fickes Funeral Home in
Jeromesville.
