Lucy Marie Krichbaum of rural Loudonville went home to be with the Lord on
November 28, 2016. The daughter of Warren C. and Anna (Huff) Anderson was born
on August 6, 1916 in Lake Township on the Anderson Homestead. She finished her
education at Emerick School.
Lucy worked at the Ashland County Children's Home for 4 years, as a
cook/housekeeper. She was a member of the Mohicanville Community Church
all her life.
William A. (Bill) Krichbaum became her husband on June 1, 1940. After Bill's death in
1973, she went to work for Scenic Orchard, picking apples and helping to make cider.
She worked hard all her life and enjoyed it. Lucy also babysat for many grandchildren
and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, reading, embroidery and baking
cookies.
She is survived by two sons; Clayton (Joan) Krichbaum of Loudonville, Gary (Linda
Mihalko) Krichbaum of Lucas, grandchildren; John (Carla) Krichbaum of Wooster,
Mark Krichbaum of Ashland, Susan Glass of Loudonville, K.C. (Mila) Krichbaum of
Cleveland, Ann (John) Cutlip of Ashland, Vicki Barbosa of Perrysville, Robin (Doug)
Griffith of Wooster and Dawn (John) Dagan of Loudonville; 18 great-grandchildren
and 4 great great-grandchildren; brother Gaylord Anderson of Ashland.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother, Donald Anderson,
sisters, Leola Cosner and Lucille (Smith) Banks, granddaughter-in-law, Kelly Rene
Krichbaum, great-grandson, Corey Krichbaum and grandson Greg Krichbaum on
October 2, 2016.
Services will be 11:00 AM Friday December 2, 2016 at Fickes Funeral Home in
Jeromesville with Pastor Greg Rowan officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
The family wants to thank the wonderful staff at Colonial Manor Memories Unit for
their tender and compassionate care of Lucy. Also to her special caregivers who spent
over 1 year helping the family with her care at home, Elsie Beachy and Margaret Burge,
a huge thank you.
