Lois Elizabeth (Elson) Drushel, 95 of Ashland died

Wednesday March 2, 2016 at Lutheran Village in Ashand,

surrounded by her family.  She was born December 17, 1920

in Ashland County the daughter of Paul Emerson and

E. Valena Fridline Elson. Lois was a 1941 graduate of

Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing and was the Head Nurse on the 3rd Floor at Samaritan

Hospital for 3 years.  She worked on the at the Ashland College Health Clinic from

1974-1987.  She had also served as a Red Cross nurse and was famous for her baked beans.

She was a 67 year member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, and was a

devoted Christian who read her Bible every day. She Lois was a loving and devoted wife,

mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Susan) Drushel of Bailey Lakes, Dennis (Rosetta)

Drushel of Polk, John Drushel of Ashland, Thomas (Teresa) Drushel of Ashland, Susan

(Roger) Gortner of West Salem and Martha (Gary) Roland of Ashland, 10 grandchildren, 27

great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, a brother, Gaylord Elson and several

nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene W. Drushel to whom she

was married, February 4, 1942 and enjoyed 56 wonderful years of life together, 2

brothers, Roger and Maurice Elson, and a nephew, Jerry Elson.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday March 5, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church

with Pastor Shaun Green officiating.  Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday March 4, 2016 from 7-9 pm at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.
