Lois Lorene
Austen
Jul 7, 1926 — Aug 31, 2023
Lois Lorene Austen, 97 of Ashland passed away Thursday August 31, 2023 at Lutheran Village. She was born July 7, 1926 in Jeromesville the daughter of Dennis and Lois Pocock Austen Sr. She was a 1944 graduate of Jeromesville High School and was a homemaker.
Genuine. Kindhearted. Idol. Motherly. Humble. Faithful. Caring.
All things we strive for in our lifetime and Lorine effortlessly possessed them all.
A woman strong in her faith and devoted to her family, you always left her presence with a full heart. To miss Lorine is an understatement, she touched so many lives. Fostering over thirty children throughout her adult life, it was always everyone else first, then taking care of herself. The epitome of Selfless. Lorine's smile and big heart will forever be remembered. I know she was taken by the hand by her savior and joined again with her son Chris who she cared for over twenty years and her daughter Linda. May they have a special table where they can shout BINGO! together.
Special thank you to everyone at Lutheran Village of Ashland who cared for Lorine during her three year stay. She loved her little apartment, the employees and all the friends she made. To Hospice, specifically PJ and Rhonda, always making sure Lorine was in the best care and treating her like their own family. Lorine's family are truly grateful for you all.
She is survived by three sons, Rick Krichbaum, Ron Krichbaum, and Edward Krichbaum, a daughter, Luann Armstrong, 7 grandchildren, Ashley Pirc, Andrew Armstrong, Ryan Krichbaum, Robert Krichbaum, Bethany Krichbaum, JJ Mitchell and Rickey Mitchell, 7 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Shirley Austen of Ashland, a brother-in-law, Frank Harned of Ashland and a special niece Janny Robison. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Brad Krichbaum and Chris Krichbaum, a daughter, Linda Krichbaum, a granddaughter, Alicia Armstrong, four brothers, Jim, Herman, Leroy and Denny Austen and two sisters, Janice Harned and Doris Robison.
