Kenneth D Hastings, 66 of Red Haw died peacefully on July 5, 2026. Born April 8, 1960. Son of Larry & Karen (Zimmerman) Hastings.

December 19, 1980, he married his wife Sarah (Keets). Together they had two children, Stacy and Ben. He lived in Red Haw area working on the family farm, driving trucks and playing softball for the Red Haw Oilers, golfing and bowling. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1978. He showed livestock at the Ashland County Fair where he met his wife, Sarah. He also coached girls' softball at Northwestern and Hillsdale.

He loved to watch and talk about sports, primarily baseball. He was a huge Cleveland Indians fan along with Ohio State football. He spent a lot of time playing golf and was able to work at his favorite course Mohican Hills.

We are saddened by the loss of our Dad, Papaw, Husband, Son, and Brother of Ken (Fuzz) Hastings. He is survived by wife Sarah (Keets) Hastings, Daughter Stacy (Max) Cox, Son Ben Hastings, all of Ashland. Grandkids Kalissa and Nate Cox. Father Larry Hastings of Wooster. Brothers Rob (Molly) Hastings and Dan (Hogg) Hastings. Uncles Duane (Pat) Hastings and Larry (Theda) Zimmerman, Aunts Linda Smucker & Sandy Zimmerman. Along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Hastings, Grandparents Harold and Gladys Hastings and Carl & Addie Zimmerman, Uncles Bill (Sharon) Hastings, Larry Smucker and Tom Zimmerman.

Friends may call Monday July 13, 2026 from 6-8 pm at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday July 14, 2026 at Red Haw Cemetery with Pastor D. Woodward Wells officiating.
