Obituary

Kathleen Amstutz Paullin Atterholt, 75 of Wooster died Monday March 7, 2016 at her residence.  Kathy was born May 12, 1940 in Kidron, the daughter of Victor E. and Sylvia G. Amstutz.  Her parents moved to Apple Creek where she grew up and graduated from Waynedale High School in 1958.  Kathy worked at Akron Brass Co. in Wooster for 7 ½ years in the Sale Department from 1959 to 1966.  She worked 6 months in the factory at Crown Steel Co. in Orrville from which she quit in 1967, to have her only child, Vickie Sue Paullin from her 1st marriage.  In 1974 she started working at the Budd Co. in Ashland.  She worked there as Tool Crib Attendant for 18 years, retiring in 1992.  Kathy loved to travel and enjoyed many trips she took with her husband, Dwight (her Soul Mate) whom she married May 12, 1976.  Among their travels were to England, France, West Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Amsterdam, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and the Bahamas.  They took several trips throughout the United States.  One throughout the New England states and Nova Scotia.  Two extensive trips through the Northern, Western and Southern states and two fishing trips to Northern Canada.  Kathy loved taking pictures of their travels and family and friends.  She was a member of the Mohicanville Community church. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Vicki Sue Paullin, of Tiffin, her granddaughter, Sheyanna (Wayne) Brenneman, and great grandson, Nolan of Orrville, three step-daughters, Debra (Chris) Arnold of Olivesburg, Cindy Dove of Mifflin and Lori (Bob) Haley of Ashland, one step-son, Jeff (Barb) Atterholt of Ashland, nine step-grandchildren, four step great-granddaughters, 2 step great grandsons, a sister, Pamela McMullin of Apple Creek, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor Herbert (Herb) and Ruth Amstutz, and Stuart and Loretta Amstutz both of Dalton, four step-brothers, Clifford (Judy) Martin and Richard (Rita) Martin of Orrville, Marion Martin of Torrence, California and Delbert (Marlene) Martin of Minerva, two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Atterholt of Loudonville and Lillian Raubenolt of Jeromesville, and a brother-in-law, Paul (Joy) Atterholt of Conesville. Kathy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Dwight Atterholt, her parents, a brother, Timothy Amstutz, a sister, Sara Suzor, step-sister and brother-in-law, Elverda and Robert Good and two step-daughters, Kelly Keller and Linda Atterholt, four brothers-in-law, Stanton Atterholt, Clayton Atterholt, Bill Raubenolt, and Jack McMullin and a sister-in-law, Pauline Atterholt. Calling hours will be 6-8 pm Friday March 18, 2016 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville. A Celebration of Life service will be at 10:30 AM Saturday March 19, 2016 at the Mohicanville Community Church.
