Karen Sue Summit, 63 died Wednesday January 18, 2017 at Hospice of Medina County

due to a fall. She had suffered with cancer the past 3 years.  She was born July 7, 1953

in Upper Sandusky the daughter of Richard L. and Ila M. Thew McCombs.  She was a

homemaker and a clerk for Grandpa's Cheesebarn.  Karen was a member of the Pleasant

Valley Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Nelson Summit to whom she was married August 31,

1978, two children, Laura A. Cox of Bellevue and Karson I. Summit of Bellevue, her

mother, Ila McCombs of Upper Sandusky, two step-children, Nathan S. Summit of

Upper Sandusky and Nicole L. Price of Vanlue, 5 grandchildren, two sisters, Sandy

Best of Tiffin and Nancy Shackelford of Upper Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by her father, a brother and a sister.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday January 21, 2017 at Pleasant Valley

Lutheran Church 1234 Twp. Rd. 523 Ashland with Pastor Ron Daily officiating.

There will be no calling hours.
