Joseph L. Albert, 64 of Ashland died Friday October 19, 2012

at Samaritan Regional Health System.  He was born June 6, 1948 in

Alliance the son of Anthony J. and Ethel Johnson Albert Sr.

He had worked for ODRC at the Mansfield Correctional Institution

and was a member of the Albion Brethren Church.  Joseph was a

U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he received the

Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Humrichouser Albert to whom

he was married November 1, 1987, his mother of Alliance,

two daughters, Tanya and Nicky and their spouses and his granchildren,

all of Georgia, a brother, Louis Albert of Stark Co., and two sisters,

Mary Jane (Wayne) Valentine of North Canton and Jacqueline (Robert) Kovachic of Atwater.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Anthony J. Albert Jr. and

a sister, Linda McFeren.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Sunday October 28, 2012 at Albion Brethren

Church with Pastor Matthew Potosky officiating.  Burial will be in the

Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.

There will be no calling hours.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with

arrangements.
