Janet Louise Jarvis, 87 of Ashland went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday May 8, 2022. She was

born April 27, 1935 in Ashland the daughter of Newton and Hester Hassinger Dilgard.

She graduated from Mid-Ohio Practical Nurse Program in 1970 and North Central Technical College in

RN program in 1981. Janet worked at Mansfield MedCentral hospital for 37 years. A true witness of

Jesus, Janet was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and a member of Faithbuilders Sunday

School class. She was a former Sunday School teacher and taught Bible School at Vermillion Baptist

Church, where she accepted the Lord as her Savior. She went on medical mission trips to Peru and

Chile.

She is survived by her children, Debra (David) Harris of Ashland, Diane (Charles) Sours of

Jeromesville, Dana (Steve) Pore of Jeromesville, Darla (Kevin) Austin of Jeromesville and Dennis

(Sandy) Jarvis of Hayesville, a daughter-in-law, Janice Jarvis of Mansfield, 14 grandchildren,

22 great grandchildren and a brother, Richard Dilgard of Ashland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim Jarvis in 1994, a son, Douglas Jarvis in

2009, a grandaughter, Lindsay Austin Carroll in 2014, a special friend, Harold Wendall Pruner in 2021,

a sister, Phyllis Earick and a brother, Barney Dilgard.

Services will be 12:00 pm Saturday May 14, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Harry

Strachan officiating. Burial will be at Vermillion Cemetery in Hayesville.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
