Imogene
Cline
Jun 15, 1924 — Nov 10, 2017
Imogene Cline, 93 formerly of Woodsfield and more recently, rural Jeromesville died Friday November 10, 2017 at Crystal Care Nursing Home. She was born June 15, 1924 in Monroe County the daughter of Richard E. and Bertha Fliehman Scott.
Mrs. Cline was described by her family as the best mother, mother-in-law and grandma, often referred to as on of God's angels on earth. She definitely deserved a 5-star rating. Treasured memories will remain of her totally unselfish heart, her pies, pickled beets, macaroni and fruit salads. She was first in line to help with anything that needed done, including hoeing the garden, picking and snapping green beans, painting, babysitting her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a special love for babies and could soothe the fussiest of them with a soft sung, "Baby-bye" - oh bye-oh-baby bye." She could cut corn off the cob faster and better than anyone never cutting the cob.
Over the many years that she and Woodrow, her husband of 62 years, to whom she was devoted, lived on the farm, many family members spent their vacations with them. She loved the company and always welcomed visitors. She missed Woodrow and never quite got over his passing in May, 2004. She had an uncanny ability of seeing the best in everyone, except anyone that hurt her children verbally or physically, then the wrath of a Scotch-Irish lady came alive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Todd Cline and a great grandson, Corey Cline.
She will be greatly missed by her three sons, Dick (Nancy), Jim (Linda) and Chuck (Bonnie), along with her 10 grandchildren, Michelle Brooks of Ashland, Annette (Brent) Kash of Savannah, Beth Minnich of Savannah, Dawn (Matt) Martin of Attica, Bobbi Jo Maniglia of Auburn Twp., Douglas (Lauren) Cline of Wooster, Jennifer (Brian) Beegley of Wooster, Amy Jordan of Ashland, Jill(Chris) Wachtel of Wooster and Erica (Jason) Crain of Hillard, 26 great granchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. We all love you, Mom.
