Howard Emerson Fackler, 88 of Ashland passed away Sunday May 23, 2021 at Kingston of Ashland.

He was born June 15, 1932 in Ashland the son of Ray and Maude Shelly Fackler. He was a 1950

graduate of Ashland High School and was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Howard

worked at General Motors and was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church. He raised,

trained and showed Arabian Horses.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Koppler Fackler, to whom he was married August 17, 1951, a

daughter, Shelli Brownfield of Polk, twin sons, Jon Fackler of Hollywood, Florida and Jeff Fackler of

Marengo, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Rosemary Gutstadt and a brother, Paul Fackler.

Memorial services will be at a late date.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
