George Herbert Young, 82 of Jeromesville died Sunday May 11, 2014 at Samaritan

Regional Health System.  He was born July 12, 1931 in Ashland Co. the son of Ralph and

Irene Dove Young.  George was a maintenance man for Hydromatic Pump.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy W. Moorefield Young, to whom he was married

September 7, 1963, five sons, George (Norma) Young Jr. of Hayesville, Rick (Colleen)

Young of Hayesville, Donnie Young of Lexington, Jim (Lori) Young of Medina, and

Rodney (Sarah) Young of Ashland, a daughter, Tami (Mike) Sheppard of Ashland, 2

step-daughters, Gloria (Daniel) Atterholt of Ashland, and Deanna Young of Loudonville,

a step-son, Danny (Jeri) Butterbaugh of Mansfield, several grandchildren and great-

grandchildren, a sister, Mary Richards of Ashland, five brothers, Lester (Hilda) Young of

Mohicanville, Ed (Pat) Young of Bellville, Roger (Cindy) Young of Ashland, Rich

Young of Ashland and Ron (Becky) Miller of Ashland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Lois Miller and Doris Kosht and a

brother, Robert Young.

Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday May 15, 2014 at Fickes Funeral Home in

Jeromesville with Pastor LuAnn Miller officiating.  Burial will be in Ashland Co.

Memorial Park.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

In leiu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral

expenses.
