Gene L. Ogden, 74 of Wooster, entered into eternal rest Saturday January 7, 2017

at Shady Lawn Care Center.  Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday January 11, 2017

at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Pastor Norm Johnson of Grace Brethren

of Ashland officiating.  Burial will be in New Pittsburg Cemetery.

Friends will be received Tuesday January 10, 2017 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

He was born on April 13, 1942 in Wayne Co. to Ray K. and Trula M. Ogden and

married Eva Sue Cherry on June 30, 1962.  He is survived by his wife.

He retired with 54 years of service with the Wayne County Highway Department

and Chester Township.

He attended Grace Brethren of Ashland.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Randy L. Ogden (Diana) of Wooster

and Kimberly S. Muetzel (William) of Wooster; four grandchildren, Steph (Eric) Peters,

Melissa (Brice) Koch, Amanda and Colin Muetzel; four great-grandchildren, Garrett

and Konner Peters, Brooklyn and Carson Koch; a sister, Alice May (Harold) Stutzman.

His parents, a brother, Ronald R. Ogden, one granddaughter Haley M. Muetzel, and one

great-granddaughter, Rozlynn O. Peters, preceded him in death.

Gene always enjoyed holidays and spending time with family.  He enjoyed watching

grandchildren's sporting events and camping trips to Tennessee.  His hobby was

restoring old vehicles and taking them to car shows.  He will be greatly missed by

his family.
