Gary Alan Hootman, 69 of rural Jeromesville died Sunday

January 8, 2017 at Kingston of Ashland.  He was born

August 23, 1947 in Ashland the son of Kenneth E. and

Margaret R. Long Hootman.  He was a carpenter.

Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Jerome Post #749 American

Legion.  He enjoyed carpentery and woodworking.

He is survived  by his wife, Judy Caugherty Hootman, to whom he was married

August 21, 1992, a step-daughter, Alicia (Jeff) Birl of Texas, three grandchildren,

Brock, Jazmin and Lele Birl, and a half-sister, Lisa Wise of Mansfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private burial will be Wednesday January 11, 2017 in Jeromesville Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.
