Obituary

Gail Olin Wolf, 98 of Jeromesville passed away Monday September 9, 2024 at his home.


He was born July 15, 1926 in Lakeville, OH the son of Ralph and Lucille Sapp Wolf.


He graduated from Ashland High School.  At 18 years of age he was drafted and proudly


served as an Anti-aircraft gunner for the U.S. Navy, serving his country during World


War II.  Gail had worked most of his life as a dairy farmer, having one of the top ranked


herds in Ashland County.  He sold the farm and spent his time traveling the country.


Later on he also worked at the former Big T Ranch, Coburn, and Ashland Country Club


where he finally retired at the age of 89. Gail was a member of the Stone Lutheran Church


and had been a member of the Hayesville-Vermillion Volunteer Fire Department.


He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Wilson Wolf, to whom he was married January 26, 1979, seven children, Tina


(Mike) Anderson, Pam Gibbons, Cheryl (Roger) Eichel, Rick (Diane) Martin, Scott (Lisa) Martin, Aaron (Helen)


Martin, and Michael Wolf, 15 grandchildren, Olin Anderson, Knox Anderson, Sara (Casey) Cole, Brian (Stephanie)


Martin, Nikki (Daniel) Gibbons-Bigelow, Cody Gibbons, Mariah (Brian) Patznick, Morgan (Paul) Soles, Bryan Martin,


Brooke Martin, Rachel (Brice) Huff, Jordan (Kami) Martin, Amanda (Chris) Conklin, Ryan (Rebecca) Eichel and


Brandon Wolf, and 22 great grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Cypher and Faye Pittinger.


Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday September 14, 2024 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with


Pastor Jeremy Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Jeromesville Cemetery.


Friends may call Friday September 13, 2024 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeromesville Fire Department or to the Hayesville-


Vermillion Fire Department.
