Esther Pauline Anderson, 87 of rural Hayesville went home to

be with her Lord and Savior Thursday March 21, 2013 Grant

Medical Center in Columbus.

She was born February 18, 1926 in Ashland Co. the

daughter of John and Eva Groff Sheriff.  Esther was

a customer service rep for GTE & Verizon and attended

the Hayesville United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed

life, and was involved in numerous community activities.

Esther loved; to cook, to laugh, to drink coffee and especially

her family.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Gaylord Anderson,

to whom she was married June 8, 1946, a daughter and son-in-law,

Patty (Floyd) Spreng of Lakeville, a son and daughter-in-law,

Bill (Sue) Anderson of Westerville, 5 grandchildren, Lori (Jef)

Hitsman, Aaron (Amy) Spreng, Kevin (Kristy) Spreng,

Katie Anderson and Melissa Anderson, 5 great-grandchildren,

and two brothers, Bob Sheriff and Gail Sheriff both of Ashland.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother,

Mervin Sheriff.

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday March 25, 2013 at Fickes

Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Pastor Harry Strachan

officiating.  Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery at Hayesville.

Friends may call Sunday March 24, 2013 from 4-8 pm at

the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the

donor's choice.
