Obituary

Elmer Clarence Balog, 91 of Elyria died Saturday September 10, 2016 at

his residence.  He was born June 2, 1925 in South Amherst the son of

Joseph and Elizabeth Stirpak Balog.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of

World War II and a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Rozella Reising Balog, a daughter, Rebeccah Jones of

Wellington, five step-children, Rozellen Beauder of Wellington, William Thompson

of Atlantic Beach, Fl, Kay McCartney of Oberlin, Charles Thompson of Lorain, and

Gina Hawkins of Jeromesville, and multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren and

great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, John, James and Joseph Balog.

Graveside services will be 2:30pm Tuesday September 13, 2016  at Jeromesville

Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Ashland Veterans Honor Guard.

There will be no calling hours.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
