Obituary

Douglas Ralph Williams, 75 of rural Polk died December 24, 2015 at his

residence.  He was born on May 12, 1940 in Nebo, Illinois the son of

William R. and Bertha L. Corbin Williams.  He was an Electrical Engineer

for Lithonia Down Lighting and attended Midway Baptist Church.  He

had been a member of the Lorian Jaycees and served in the Army

prior to and during the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by a son, Dan Williams of Sullivan, his significant

other, Sharon Stitzlein, two sisters, Opal Ervin of Jerseyville, Illinois

and Shirley Doyle of Nebo, Illinois and two brothers, Frank Boyer of

Ofallon, Missouri and Virgil Williams of Pittsfield, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Shirley Williams

in 1998, a son, Douglas R. Williams II in 2006 and a brother, Michael

Williams.

Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday Decemeber 29, 2015 at Fickes Funeral

Home in Jeromesville with Pastor Charles Keesee officiating.  Burial will be in

Fairview Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service on

Tuesday.
