Doris Mae Twining, 95 died Friday January 5, 2018 at McMullen

Assisted Living in Loudonville. Mrs. Twining was born January

27, 1922 in Clarksfield, OH to Carl and Florence (Houghtlen)

Burrows. She married Russell Twining on July 4, 1943 in New

London, OH.  She worked as a telephone operator and as a nanny/housekeeper before marriage.

She spent most of her life dairy farming with Russell inHuntington and later in Hayesville-Loudonville

area. She was a former member of the Clarksfield and Huntington Granges. After retiring from

farming, Mrs. Twining worked for Hobby Nursery for a couple years and spent several years driving

for the Amish community, and making deliveries for a home health company. She and Russell also ran

a sugar shack for several years making maple syrup and many family memories. She enjoyed

gardening, raising chickens and sewing, especially quilting, and spent many happy days fishing on

Lake Erie.

She loved her family and was happiest when all the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren

were gathered together. She nurtured all her grandchildren and instilled in them a sense of work and
