Obituary

Doris June Paullin, 85 of Lakeville died Wednesday April 16, 2014 at Sycamore Run

Nursing Home.  She was born March 16, 1929 in Holmes Co. the daughter of William

and Lena Mackey Wachtel.  She was a secretary for Haudenshield Insurance in

Loudonville and Washington Mutual in Lakeville, where she retired.  Doris was a

graduate of Wooster Business College and was member of the Lakeville United Methodist

Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, Bible School teacher and founder of

JAM (Jesus and Me).

She was a 4-H advisor, member of Nashville Grange and volunteered and was a regular

blood donor to Holmes Co. Chapter of the Red Cross.  Doris was an avid sports fan,

following West Holmes sports, as well as Ohio State and the Cleveland Indians.

She is survived by six children, Penny Blubaugh of Danville, Chuck (Lola) Paullin of

Lakeville, Jane (Michael) Smith of Loudonville, Deb (John) Ridgway of Radium Springs,

N.M., Dianne Bell of Wooster and Nancy (Ed) Moore of Killbuck, 10 grandchildren, 20

great-grandchildren, and a brother, Wayne (Mary Lou) Wachtel of Orrville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Paullin, a daughter,

Janice Paullin and a brother, Floyd Wachtel.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday April 19, 2014 at Lakeville United Methodist

Church with Pastor Diane McCartney officiating.  Burial will be in Lakefork Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday April 18, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Fickes Funeral Home in

Jeromesville.
