Donna Lou Crawford, 77, Hamilton, Missouri, passed away at her residence on
September 2, 2011.
Donna Lou Dudte was born at home in Jeromesville, Ohio, to her parents, Floyd and
Nellie Dudte on June 11, 1934. She was one of seven children which include an older
sister, Eula; brothers, Kenneth (aka "Dale"), Carl, John, Norman, and George
(aka "Mike"). She lived in Jeromesville until she married Charles E. Wilson on June
21, 1950. She and Charles moved to Galion, Ohio. While in Galion the couple added to
their family a daughter, Joyce, in 1951, and a son, Charles, in 1953. The family
moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, and then to Ogden, Utah. In 1968 the family moved back
to Ohio and she lived there until her husband's job required they move to Kansas City
in 1983. They moved to Polo, Missouri, not long after moving to Kansas and bought a
130 acre farm. Donna always had fond memories of the farm where she milked a
Jersey cow, fed chickens, canned food, as well as taking care of Charles' elderly
parents. Donna, even though being busy on the farm, wanted to pursue her goal of a
high school diploma. She and her daughter, Joyce, attended classes for their GED in
Polo, Mo. In 1987 they both received their diplomas. Donna attended beauty college in
Chillicothe, Missouri, along with her daughter-in-law, Chris, and became a licensed
cosmetologist. After Charles retired, they sold the farm and moved to Hamilton,
Missouri where she lived until her death.
She was a member of the Bethuel Baptist Church in Kingston, Missouri, and anyone
who knew her knows she loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and shared her faith
with anyone she could.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wilson; her second husband,
Ralph Crawford; Brothers, Rev. Kenneth Dudte, Carl and John Dudte; a step-brother,
Darrel Reeves Jr.; her parents; and her step-father, Darrel (aka "Pappy") Reeves.
