Donald Gene Simpson, 88 of Loudonville died Wednesday October 11, 2017

at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.  He was born November 7, 1928 in

Ashland Co. the son of Earl and Ethel Rush Simpson.  He was a veteran of

the U.S. Navy, worked at Mansfield Tire and was a farmer.  Donald was a

member of the Loudonville Baptist Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Rush Simpson to whom he was married September 9, 1950, seven

children, Dennis (Pat) Simpson of Ashland, Douglas (Mary) Simpson of Loudonville, Denise (Scott)

Field of Perrysville, Brad (Pat) Simpson of Perrysville, Bruce (Carla) Simpson of Loudonville, Brenda

(Larry) Hinkle of Loudonville and Brian (Linda) Simpson of Loudonville, 30 grandchildren, 42 great

grandchildren, and a brother, Harold Simpson of Ashland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Jeremy Simpson, a brother, Kenneth Simpson and

a sister, Marilyn Kaiser.

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday October 16, 2017 at Loudonville Baptist Temple with Pastor David

Koehler officiating.  Burial will be in Ashland Co. Memorial Park.

Friends may call Sunday October 15, 2017 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville from 5-8 pm.
