Obituary

Claire Kaufman, 84 of Jeromesville died Saturday

July 20, 2013 at Akron General Hospital.  He was

born May 28, 1929 in Wooster the son of Jacob and

Alice Elizabeth Houser Kaufman.

He was a farmer and member of the Trinity Lutheran Church

in Jeromesville.

Claire was a member of the Ashland Co. Fair Board for over 30

years, a past Superintendent of the Poultry Barn and a former

4-H advisor for the Jeromesville Farmer and Farmettes.

He enjoyed shopping at Buehler's Milltown in Wooster and loved

to watch the Cleveland Indians.

He is survived by two daughters, Kay (Mark) Stauffer of Ashland

and Kris Stephens of Fredricksburg, a son, Keith (Connie Sue)

Kaufman of Jeromesville, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren

and a special friend, Oscar, his dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lora Jane

Stauffer Kaufman, a grandson, Jordan (Joe) Stephens, three

brothers, Gordon, Dallas and Jacob Kaufman and three sisters,

Wanda Fair, Hazel Ungerer Kamp and Susan Engel.

Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday July 25, 2013 at Fickes Funeral

Home in Jeromesville with Rev. Debra Speer officiating.  Burial

will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call Wednesday July 24, 2013 from 6-9 pm at the

funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeromesville Fire

Department.
