Catherine M. Funk, 88 of Ashland died March 12, 2012.

She was born August 2, 1923 in Ashland Co. the daughter

of Arthur L. and Mary E. Smith Reed.  She was a homemaker

and a member of the Red Haw United Methodist Church, where

she was an organist and pianist for over 50 years and member

of the missionary society.

She is survived by six daughters, Janet Rockenfelder of Ashland,

Regina (Richard) Morrelle of West Salem, Kaye (Erich) Diener

of Ashland, Rita (Gerry) Strouse of West Salem, Cathy (Layton)

Broome of Jeromesville and Deborah (Emil) Diener of Mansfield,

16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, four brothers, Paul

(Betty) Reed of Red Haw, Kenneth (Shirley) Reed of Ashland,

Denny (Joyce) Reed of Red Haw and Howard (Barb) Reed of

West Salem, and four sisters, Pauline (Miles) Crumley of West

Salem, Betty Hottel of West Salem, Ada (Ray) Kruger of Tallmadge

and Marilyn (Keith) Switzer of Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Funk,

a granddaughter, Sheila Sites, a son-in-law, Gilbert Rockenfelder

and two brothers, David and Ivan Reed.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday March 17, 2012 at Red Haw

United Methodist Church with Pastor John Crouse officiating.

Burial will be in Red Haw Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour

prior to the service.
